Proof of Disability Question

Q: My husband and I are refinancing our home in Florida, and need proof that he will not be paying property taxes in 2013 due to his permenant and total disability rating from the VA. How can I get documentation that he is exempt? I filed for the exemption in October 2012.

A: You will have to contact the VA and provide his disability certification to the county property appraiser.
