I sold my home in Georgia last year. I own a home in Florida which I have not homesteaded yet. I do use it as my permanent address, with utility bills, other bills, and including tax returns. I work movies in Georgia which by their nature are part time ("gig work"). I also keep a rental apartment in Atlanta. My wife works part time in Florida and sometimes in Atlanta when I am on a show.
Any problems homesteading?

No. As long as it is your only primary residence. Just make sure you file by March 1st with your local county property appraiser's office.
