I have been named as a defendant in a foreclosure suit simply for my homestead claim on my ex-wifes property. I was told by an attorney here that I could file a form with the court releasing my homestead rights. Can someone please tell me how to do that?

I cant afford an attorney in FL

Thanks
Rahul

as Instrument No. in the Official Records of the County Recorder of _______________________ County, State of Florida, pertaining to the following real property:

Commonly known as (street address):

Reason(s) for Abandonment:

I declare under penalty of perjury, under the laws of the State of Florida, that the foregoing is true, complete and correct.

SIGNATURE OF PROPERTY OWNER: __________________________

DATED: _____________________

STATE OF FLORIDA }
COUNTY OF BROWARD }

Sworn to (or affirmed) and subscribed this before me this _________ day of ______________________, 2011 by __________________________.

WITNESS my hand and official seal.
