should I fight a writ of garnishment

I was served a writ of garnishment, I filed for exemption as head of house hold, I was given a court date, should I fight this and go to court or should i contact the creditor and work out a payment plan

If you want to pay it, then work out an arrangement with the creditor. If not, then fight it.
